ENDOWMENT FUNDS
Contribute to or create an endowment fund that will have a long-lasting benefit.
The Roots of Change Foundation is very privileged to have generous supporters that established 8 endowment funds on our behalf, and they are all managed by the Edmonton Community Foundation. The funds currently support approximately 10% of our annual “Ongoing Programs” budget. These endowments help us secure long-term financial stability, as the principal remains untouched and only income or interest generated from them are given to our organization for use towards our programs. By contributing to these funds, you are not only strengthening their principal but also creating larger and more consistent contributions for the future.
Our current endowment funds are:

John and Pauline Koroluk Memorial Fund – Agricultural projects

Father Denis Hebert Fund – Projects of greatest need

Sacred Fund – Education programs

FUNDACCO Fund for Higher Education – Post secondary scholarships

Father Michael Blanch Fund – Projects of greatest need

Eugene and Daria Malo Fund – Emergency and disaster relief programs

Peter and Laura Smith Memorial Fund – Projects of greatest need

CREATE AN ENDOWMENT FUND
If you are interested in creating an endowment fund, you can easily start a fund by either a one-time amount today or through planned giving. If you want to create an endowment fund today, it doesn't have to be a grand gesture, you can start one with just $10,000.00 and benefit from the long-term rewards of providing a lasting impact. Planned giving is an option that allows you to make a lasting contribution some time in the future to benefit your chosen cause even after you pass away, such as with a life insurance policy or set amount included in your estate's plans.

The Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF) is a registered charitable organization created to support community charities in their endowment building and donor services; the ECF program offers a guaranteed rate of return on investments.
*Funding Disclosure - The goal for our 2023 fund raising campaign is $140,000. The estimated cost of our campaign is $14,000.
The money raised will be used to provide funding for approved projects in Nicaragua.
